Under the umbrella of Wiedemann Holding, the company's 30-year history is being continued together with its sister company Kaufbeurer Mikrosysteme Wiedemann (KMW). Sonja Wiedemann, daughter of the company founders and Managing Director of the Wiedemann Group since 2013, acquires a majority stake in the holding company.

STW, founded in 1985 by Katharina and Wolfgang Wiedemann, began with the development and production of pressure measurement systems and developed further with electronic control systems for mobile machinery. In 1994, KMW was founded, specializing in the production of pressure measuring cells using thin-film technology. Today, the company's portfolio includes electronic products and software solutions for the digitalization, automation and electrification of mobile machinery as well as special solutions for mechanical engineering and industrial applications. With over 500 employees, the group of companies generated sales of over 80 million euros in 2018.

In 2018, the decisive majority of the company shares were transferred to Managing Director Sonja Wiedemann. Company founder Wolfgang Wiedemann took over as Chairman of the Advisory Board of Wiedemann Holding. Werner Sill, Chairman of the Advisory Board until the end of 2018, moves to the management of the holding company, where he will run the business together with Sonja Wiedemann.

The two company founders Katharina and Wolfgang Wiedemann jointly hold a minority stake in the group of companies and will continue to act as advisors to the group of companies in the future.
