For weld seam inspection

The Saturn 3D is a laser triangulation sensor from EVT, whose 3D point clouds are evaluated and analyzed in the 3D software 'EyeVision'.

The sensor is now also available with a blue laser and is therefore particularly suitable for inspecting metal and other reflective surfaces. In combination with the evaluation software, the easy-to-use graphical user interface can be used to measure the length and height of a profile as well as to create a pattern comparison with a previously taught-in profile. This makes the sensor particularly suitable for checking weld seams.

According to EVT, the laser triangulation sensor offers a maximum speed of 2 kHz. The system is equipped with Profinet and Modbus support for system integration. OPC UA for integration into a SCADA system as well as UDP and TCP/IP communication are also supported.
