Jumo
Focus on digital change
In May 2022, Bernhard and Michael Juchheim withdrew from the operational management of Jumo in order to focus on their role as shareholders. In addition to Dimitrios Charisiadis, Managing Director since 2020, Steffen Hoßfeld became Managing Director.
As Chief Executive Officer, Dimitrios Charisiadis is responsible for market-related functions such as development and sales. Despite a lot of turbulence, he currently has a positive outlook: "We had a very strong 2021 financial year with sales growth of 17% to 280 million euros. Incoming orders this year are also well above our plan." In his opinion, the greatest opportunities for the company lie in the digital transformation: Jumo is in a position to offer end-to-end complete solutions from the sensor - the "sensory organ of the smart factory of the future" - to the cloud.
As Chief Operating Officer, Steffen Hoßfeld is responsible for the management and organization of all operational processes: "We are currently planning a new production site in Fulda, where topics such as sustainability and digitalization are naturally at the top of the agenda. We will further optimize all of our processes by introducing a new ERP system at the beginning of 2023." In his view, the biggest challenge at the moment is the energy supply: Although Jumo is not one of the energy-intensive industries, it is nevertheless preparing for all possible scenarios.
Charisiadis and Hoßfeld are jointly responsible for the strategic management of the group of companies and believe the company is well positioned for the future. "From a strong base in Germany, we will consistently drive international growth through our 25 subsidiaries over the next few years." There is still a lot of potential in the Asian region in particular.
