Encoders for existing systems and new projects
Baumer is expanding its product portfolio for positioning tasks with the fieldbus encoder 'EN580C'. The EN580C optical multiturn encoder is backwards compatible.
The encoder's features include an accuracy of up to 0.01° and the option of convenient application-specific parameterization (gear function, dynamic PDO mapping). Thanks to the flexible cabling with fieldbus cover, it can be easily integrated and commissioned using address switches (node ID, baud rate). During maintenance, the old fieldbus encoder can be quickly and easily replaced with the new model. In addition to use in existing systems, the Baumer encoder is also suitable for new projects with fieldbus protocols. Fields of application for the fieldbus encoder include factory automation, mechanical and plant engineering and intralogistics.
