Hima with a new business division

Stefan Basenach Head of Process Industry

Hima appointed Stefan Basenach as head of the new Process division on May 1, 2017. In doing so, the company aims to bundle responsibility in the process industry across all countries.

Stefan Basenach studied technical cybernetics at the University of Stuttgart. The graduate engineer then worked at ABB for 24 years, where he was most recently responsible for substations in EMEA as head of the EPC business.

By creating an independent division for the process industry, safety solution provider Hima intends to focus its corporate strategy on stronger global growth. Cross-national project teams will simplify the development of new markets and intensify cooperation with new and existing customers.

The creation of the new position bundles global responsibility for one of the most important business areas, according to Hima, with a central contact person. Previously, Sedat Sezgün had already been appointed head and main contact person for the Rail division for a transnational team. Stefan Basenach also reports directly to Sankar Ramakrishnan, CEO of the Hima Group. "In Stefan Basenach, we have gained an outstanding and internationally experienced specialist and manager as the head of our important Process division," says Ramakrishnan.
