Security solution expanded
Forescout Technologies has expanded its ICS security solution SilentDefense. The new Asset Risk Framework helps companies to aggregate and prioritize the risks for OT and IoT devices.
The tool provides impact-based scores in a centralized dashboard to help users determine their current security risk. Network securitymonitoring tools generate large amounts of information, which is very time-consuming for cyber security and operations teams to review. Aggregating and prioritizing operational and security risks enables real-time decision making.
In addition, 'SilentDefense' now offers advanced features that enable predictive and preventive risk analysis to reduce vulnerabilities: thanks to active PLC queries, cyber security analysts can create alert parameters to quickly set up customized compliance and monitoring policies so that no PLCs/controllers remain invisible. Utilities operating critical infrastructure must comply with guidelines when securing their networks. Forescout has automated the compliance and reporting process for meeting the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP) standards.
