Airbus Cybersecurity
Security from the defense expert
It goes without saying that IT security is a top priority for a company like Airbus. With 'Airbus Cybersecurity', the aviation company also offers its expertise externally.
Just recently, the report on the state of IT security in Germany 2017, published by the Federal Office for Information Security in November 2017, pointed to "a new quality of threat": Increasing digitalization and networking through developments such as the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0 or 'Smart Everything' offer cyber attackers new attack surfaces and far-reaching opportunities to spy on information, sabotage business and administrative processes or otherwise criminally enrich themselves at the expense of third parties on an almost daily basis.
The difficulties in fending off these attacks begin with recognizing an attack in the first place. This is where Airbus Cybersecurity offers help and will be showcasing its portfolio of products and services at SPS IPC Drives 2017. The consulting services include a 'security check', during which the company is inspected and evaluated. This results in a classification of the security level of the industrial control systems as well as specific recommendations for action for the top ten security risks.
With its five Cyber Defense Centers in Europe, Airbus Cybersecurity ensures that cyber attacks are detected, analyzed and responded to. The security experts at Airbus use tools and technologies to detect suspicious behavioral patterns that indicate cyber attacks and quickly analyze them using a wide range of expert knowledge. Devices are analyzed and checked for vulnerabilities as part of monitoring processes. Regular reports are sent to customers.
Protection through firewalls
In addition to the aforementioned systems, security solutions for the protection of network infrastructures, end devices and data will be presented together with Stormshield, a cybersecurity service provider. These solutions are internationally certified to the highest security standards (including Common Criteria EAL3+ and EAL 4+, FIPS 140-2) and can be used by organizations of all sizes as well as operators of critical infrastructures, governments and the military.
