Rockwell Automation takes over Oylo
Rockwell Automation has announced the acquisition of Oylo, a private industrial cybersecurity service provider based in Barcelona, Spain.
Oylo offers a wide range of cybersecurity services and solutions for industrial control systems (ICS), including risk assessments, turnkey implementations, management services and incident resolution.
"With the introduction of connected smart devices on the factory floor, a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that spans industrial operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) is now more important than ever. We are committed to helping our customers successfully launch their own Connected Enterprise, and the depth of expertise Oylo brings to Rockwell Automation will further enhance our ability to deliver this expertise globally," said Frank Kulaszewicz, Senior Vice President, Lifecycle Services at Rockwell Automation.
Oylo's OT cybersecurity expertise complements the IT cybersecurity expertise already enhanced by the recent acquisition of Avnet Data Security. The acquisition of Oylo expands the range of cybersecurity services for the industrial market.
Oylo will be managed as part of the Lifecycle Services operating segment.
