New Sales Manager Germany
Since April 1, 2016, Martin Frey (pictured) has been the new Head of Sales Germany at Pilz, a provider of safe automation solutions based in Ostfildern near Stuttgart. Frey succeeds Stefan Olding, who recently left the company.
Stefan Olding had been Sales Manager Germany at Pilz since 1999 and moved to the Harting Technology Group in February 2016. His successor at Pilz, Martin Frey, has gained extensive experience in the areas of development, application and product management in automation and safety technology. Frey joined Pilz in 2001 and initially worked there as a product manager before moving to sales in 2005. Since 2011, he has been responsible for the South West sales region as Regional Manager. Frey would like to focus his new role on expanding Pilz's sales network in Germany and further intensifying local customer support.
Sales at Pilz in Germany has a decentralized structure: Teams in six sales regions work under the leadership of Martin Frey. In addition to the field sales force for active customer advice and support, other contacts in the back office are responsible for order processing. The teams in the regions are supplemented by experts from Technical System Sales and specialists from Customer Support, who implement service projects at the customer's premises. Pilz intends to further expand both its sales team and Customer Support in 2016.
