The project focuses in particular on the security structures of IoT systems in automotive, production, healthcare and other critical infrastructures. It runs from January 2018 to December 2020 and is funded by the EU research and innovation program 'Horizon 2020'. It focuses on the challenges that arise when diagnosing and reducing security risks at the edge of networks. In short: where many and confusing guidelines regarding IoT devices require a new approach based on automation and artificial intelligence.

Together with 13 other partners from nine EU countries, Fujitsu is working on solutions against malicious behavior of systems and robots. The research partners are developing a range of open, scalable, data-driven end-to-end security services around the concept of predictive IoT security. With the help of artificial intelligence and big data, they want to anticipate the security behavior of IoT objects and develop realistic Industry 4.0 application scenarios. The solutions and recommendations resulting from this project should enable IoT platform providers, IoT solution integrators and IoT device manufacturers to offer secure products and services. These should meet existing and future security requirements.
