Equipped with six digital safety inputs (3 mA/24 V(DC)/0.5 ms), the signals from a maximum of three control and signaling devices (2-channel) can be read in decentrally. Combined with a safety controller from the supplier, the 'Safety Input Box' is designed to meet the highest safety requirements and is TÜV-certified (SIL 3/PL e, Cat. 4). The box is mounted directly on the machine, on a control panel or on the back of the 'ETT' multi-touch control panels. Input signals from safety elements such as emergency stop, enabling switches, operating mode selector switches and key switches can thus be collected decentrally and transmitted safely to the 'S-Dias' safety CPU in the control cabinet using a 2-wire cable. Communication between the 'Safety input Box' and the safety CPU takes place via a safety-oriented 2-wire bus according to the black channel principle. Status LEDs directly next to each channel ensure clear assignment. The safety-related application can be programmed and configured using the 'Lasal Safety Designer'.
