Certified for functional safety
Parker Hannifin offers the IQAN-XC41, -XC42 and -XC43 expansion modules with certification in accordance with IEC 61508 (SIL2).
This development from Parker Hannifin enables the modules to be used as part of machine safety functions up to EN 13849-1, Performance Level d (PL d). With the safety-certified expansion modules, engineers can simplify system implementation and system design in mobile hydraulic applications. With this development, both controller types on the IQAN platform (MC4x master controllers and XC4x expansion modules) offer multiple safety-certified versions. An important feature of the XC4x module, for example, is Parker's newly designed protocol, which is both safe and bandwidth-efficient. The protocol supports both CAN classic (250 and 500 Kbit/s) and CAN FD up to 500/2000 Kbit/s.
IQAN is an electronic control system for mobile hydraulic applications that focuses on functional safety, precision control and ease of use.
