Voith Robotics integrates cobots from Universal Robots
Voith Robotics becomes the new system integrator of Universal Robots. Together they want to take the "concept of intelligent automation to the next level".
The Danish manufacturer of collaborative robots Universal Robots and the system provider for robot-assisted automation Voith Robotics announce their strategic partnership. Effective immediately, UR cobots will be integrated into the system provider's automation concepts.
"With this new cooperation, Universal Robots is further expanding its global presence and can support customers all over the world with customized system solutions. Voith Robotics, as part of the Voith Group, brings extensive expertise of very high value that will further advance the intelligent use of our cobots," says Helmut Schmid, Managing Director of UR Germany and Regional Sales Director Western and Northern Europe, explaining the reasons for the partnership.
Torsten Friedrich, Managing Director of Voith Robotics, is also convinced of the future cooperation: "The partnership with Universal Robots takes our concept of intelligent automation to the next level. We gain access to a technology that sets standards for collaborative robots in terms of user-friendliness, integration capability and safety. Use cases can be implemented very quickly and even customers who have little or no experience with robot technology can quickly achieve initial success."
