VDMA announces details of record sales

Last year, the German robotics and automation industry posted record sales - this was announced by the VDMA at the beginning of June 2016. The association has now broken down its figures further at Automatica 2016.

In 2015, robotics and automation in Germany achieved a record sales volume of 12.2 billion euros, which corresponds to an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. The VDMA has now announced at Automatica 2016 how much of this growth is attributable to the three segments of machine vision, integrated assembly solutions (formerly assembly and handling technology) and robotics.
