According to the supplier, set-up time can be reduced by up to 92% thanks to the 'OmniVance Machining Cell and Machining Software'. The cell consists of the 'IRB 2600' industrial robot, a controller and a rotary table, combined with pressure and fill level sensors and other equipment. Users only have to worry about tool and robot calibration, as 90% of the cell is already pre-assembled. The machining software integrates auto-calibration and path optimization functions. As a stand-alone, intuitive tool, the software supports both the robot installed in the Machining Cell and other ABB robots. It automatically calibrates tools and machining objects. A path optimization function is also integrated. The machining processes can be easily carried out and monitored even without programming knowledge.
