Motek/Bondexpo 2021
Motek opens Tuesday in Stuttgart
Motek opens its doors in Stuttgart on Tuesday (05.10.). Over four days, visitors can find out about modern assembly and automation solutions.
The "Software for Assembly" exhibition area will create a platform for the current topic of digitalization in manufacturing and assembly. The "Arena of Integration - AoI" has been further developed for Motek 2021. "The AoI will be further developed for Motek 2021 as the living heart of the 'Software for Assembly' exhibition area," says Mike Döring from the project management team at trade fair organizer P.E. Schall. "Here, the networking of software and assembly technology in motion will make the business processes mapped by software clearly visible and tangible through exhibits."
The digitalization of business processes in assembly operations will be on display: in sales, from CAD systems and quotation preparation to real-time 3D animation; in small series production, from 3D scanning and CAD processing to 3D printing; and in assembly operations, with the connection of a manufacturing execution system (MES) to the digital twin of an assembly system. Digitalization in service will focus on secure Internet data transmission and will also be demonstrated for machines in other halls. All of these solutions will be demonstrated live at the Arena of Integration.
Participants include well-known mechanical engineering companies such as ThyssenKrupp Automation Engineering and Otto Bihler Maschinenfabrik with their own digitalization solutions, as well as numerous high-tech companies with their unique digitalization solutions.
Special areas for 3D printing and start-ups
The "3D printing special area" is being prepared as a themed highlight in Hall 1. Here, suppliers of 3D printers for industrial use, material suppliers for 3D printing and contract manufacturers for 3D printed parts and assemblies will showcase their solutions and services. The field of new possibilities opened up by 3D printing technology is incredibly broad: freedom of construction and design, bionic and individual structures, undercuts, overhangs and lightweight structures are all possible. Industries that produce small batches or any special components - such as spare parts, brackets, tools or housings - benefit particularly from the technology.
The start-up area in Hall 1 is also worth a visit. With this special area, the trade fair organizer Schall is deliberately giving young companies that want to present their innovative automation ideas a suitable platform at Motek/Bondexpo with the aim of generating feasible solutions for everyday industrial use from the product ideas and new product presentations.
