LogiMAT canceled
Due to official orders, LogiMAT 2020 was canceled. The accelerated spread of the coronavirus led to this.
LogiMAT was actually supposed to take place despite the coronavirus pandemic. Trade fair organizer Euroexpo Messe- und Kongress, Landesmesse Stuttgart and the responsible local authorities had previously assumed that the international trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management could take place in Stuttgart. The Esslingen health authority did not see any increased risk for exhibitors and visitors.
However, the situation has now changed: The risk of infection is coming to a head due to the increased and accelerated spread of the coronavirus in Germany, particularly in the Stuttgart region. The responsible public order office in Leinfelden-Echterdingen ordered the trade fair organizer to cancel LogiMAT 2020 on Wednesday, March 4, at 5:17 p.m. on the urgent recommendation of the responsible health department of the Esslingen district.
"This is bitter, as LogiMAT Stuttgart is of outstanding importance for the global intralogistics industry. The cancellation of LogiMAT 2020 due to external, unforeseeable circumstances is a first in its 18-year history. After great efforts, we were unable to find a suitable date with Landesmesse Stuttgart for a later date in 2020 and have therefore decided with a heavy heart to cancel LogiMAT 2020," says Christoph Huss, Managing Partner of EUROEXPO, explaining the reasons for the cancellation.
The next LogiMAT will take place in Stuttgart from March 9 to 11, 2021.
