Fully integrated gripping solutions

The grip kits from Weiss Robotics combine the industrial gripping modules from the gripping technology specialist with the systems from the Danish manufacturer Universal Robots.

This provides a fully integrated gripping solution for arms from Universal Robots (UR), which, according to the supplier, leads to a finished solution within minutes and also covers a wide range of applications. In addition to the actual gripping module, the grip kits contain all the components required for mounting on the robot arm and for connecting to the robot controller: For example, the appropriate electrical and mechanical adapters between the robot and the gripping module are included, as are the connection cables and integration instructions with application examples. Programming is carried out entirely via the supplied 'URCaps' plug-in, which adds graphical function blocks for gripping to the robot controller. The gripper modules are available as purely electric and as electro-pneumatic gripping solutions with parallel and centric grippers. The purely electric 'Gripkit-E' is particularly suitable for applications in which the fingers have to be pre-positioned for process-related reasons and gripping forces have to be set flexibly, for example when separating electronic assemblies or handling delicate components. For applications that require a high gripping force, there is the 'Gripkit-P', in which the electro-pneumatic RPG and ZPG grippers are used, in which the valve technology, position sensors and gripping control are fully integrated in the housing.
