Carries loads up to 80 kg

Yaskawa has added the Motoman PL80 palletizing and handling robot to its Motoman PL series in the lower payload range. It palletizes loads of up to 80 kg and its kinematics make it suitable for box, carton and bundle palletizing.

The robot manages over 800 cycles per hour. The robust design of the wrist - protected against the ingress of dust and liquids (IP67) - also allows the robot to work under harsh working conditions in continuous operation. The media cables required for all vacuum and servo grippers can be routed collision-free close to the robot arm up to the wrist. According to the manufacturer, the coordinated and kinematically slim structure, in conjunction with Sigma 7 drive technology from Yaskawa, guarantees enormous acceleration and speed values with a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.03 mm.

All robots in the Motoman PL series work with the YRC1000 high-performance controller, which offers a wide range of functions for path planning and communication. The synchronized control of movements, functional grippers or paths is also handled by the controller.
