The transfer solutions from Kemas enable the secure and clear recording, management, storage, disposition and transfer of objects to different users, protected against unauthorized access, loss, manipulation and misuse. Keba has now acquired 80% of the 75-strong company, with the remaining 20% remaining with founder Hans-Jürgen Grämer and his son. Kemas' turnover in the last financial year amounted to 7.7 million euros. Even after the takeover by Keba, the Kemas brand will be retained and the operational management of the new Keba subsidiary will also remain with the established management team.

Development and production will take place at the company site in Oberlungwitz (Saxony). Kemas is currently mainly active in Germany, where it sees itself as the market leader in the automatic transfer machine sector. Keba itself hopes that the acquisition and the resulting synergies will strengthen its own market position in parcel machines. Gerhard Luftensteiner, CEO of Keba AG, comments on the acquisition as follows: "With new joint solutions, we can offer our customers an even broader portfolio of solutions and will certainly also penetrate new sectors."
