According to the provider, the advantages of the Emweb web panel are the lower costs for the system hardware and the easier maintainability of the visualization masks, especially for multiple control points. These can be kept and maintained centrally on one system and do not have to be distributed to individual end devices. Many controllers, sensors and drives also already come with web-based interfaces for configuration, which can be easily integrated into web-based user interfaces. There is no need for licenses for special client applications. The web panel was specially designed to display machine data via websites. The hardware is based on a Freescale i.MX6 processor, offers industrial-grade displays and a 24 V power supply. It can be integrated into a machine network via its Ethernet interface. The pre-installed Linux operating system forms the basis for the HTML5-capable web browser, which starts automatically after booting the system in full-screen kiosk mode and also automatically connects to a preset web server address. The web panel can be used with any visualization that is based on HTML5. Configuration is also carried out via a web browser. Four programmable buttons on the front, a capacitive touchscreen and a CAN interface are available as options. Alternatively, the system can also be equipped with a Codesys V3 runtime environment.
