Yokogawa Germany with new Managing Director
Yokogawa has appointed Andreas Helget as the new CEO of its German headquarters. He is now responsible for the 'Industrial Automation' division in Ratingen and the 'Test and Measurement Technology' division in Herrsching, as well as three Customer Centric Offices in Germany.
Andreas Helget takes over the position of CEO from Herman van den Berg, who as President of Yokogawa Europe, based in Amersfoort in the Netherlands, also headed Yokogawa Deutschland GmbH ad interim.
Helget studied process engineering and chemical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and received his doctorate in system dynamics and control engineering from the University of Stuttgart in 1996. This was followed by his first professional tasks at the BASF Group in Ludwigshafen and Antwerp, in the specialist department for control engineering optimization and subsequently as head of the specialist department for optimization of process engineering production processes. In 2004, Helget moved to the Oil and Gas Solutions division at Siemens in Erlangen. There he initially managed sales and processing for Germany, then took on global responsibility. His technical focus was on integrated solutions in electrical engineering, automation and drive technology for the oil and gas process industry. Until 2014, Andreas Helget held several positions at Siemens, including overall management of the company's Oil and Gas Solutions business segment.
