Seita Hagihara is the new President
Yokogawa has appointed Seita Hagihara (49) as the new President of Yokogawa Europe B.V., effective January 1. He succeeds Takayuki Matsubara, who is moving to the role of CEO of the Yokogawa Group company KBC.
After studying economics and geography at the University College of London, Hagihara began his career as a sales engineer at Yokogawa Electric Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. Hagihara has 26 years of experience in various roles ranging from sales and finance to global key account management. He has worked at the Japanese, European and North American regional headquarters.
In 2021, Hagihara was appointed Vice President of System Sales & Sales Operation at Yokogawa Corporation of America. Based in Texas, he led system sales, business development, quoting and distribution from Canada to Central America, as well as oversight management of Yokogawa Mexico. He also led the regional energy and sustainability business.
As of January 1, 2024, Hagihara will assume overall responsibility for Yokogawa 's business in Europe from the European headquarters in the Netherlands.
Yokogawa provides measurement, control and information technology solutions for customers in a wide range of industries, including the energy, chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1915 and employs more than 17,000 people in a global network of 129 companies at locations in 60 countries. Yokogawa Europe B.V. was founded in 1982 as the European headquarters in Amersfoort, NL.
