Due to its SoM technology, various i.MX-based CPUs with integrated AI computing cores can be integrated without altering the peripheral components. For increasing AI computational demands, 'piggyback boards' with additional AI power can be utilized through additional interfaces. The hardware architecture, designed for maximum scalability, augments traditional control technology with embedded AI capabilities within a single base device. This provides a solution for OEM customers who are uncertain about the future resource requirements for AI applications and who wish to manage the additional costs of local AI computing power.
