Kistler at the SPS 2024
Simple torque and rotation angle measurement
Even at speeds of up to 30,000 revolutions per minute, the measuring flange from Kistler measures the torque precisely, according to the supplier. The angle of rotation measurement is accurate to 0.01° and saves space in the test bench thanks to the integrated angle of rotation sensor. The measuring flange records the measurement data in two calibrated, individually definable measuring ranges. The measurement data collected can be transmitted via internal digital Ethernet and fieldbus interfaces and thus remain protected from external interference and data loss. In addition, the air gap between the rotor and stator has been increased to up to 5.0 mm and there is no interfering antenna ring, which facilitates access during maintenance and makes it easy to replace the rotor and stator. The variability of the measuring system is demonstrated by the flexible use of up to five rotors: rotors and stators are calibrated separately, but exchange the respective parameters automatically.
