Monitoring devices
Can also be used in Ex zone 1
With the Carloc AT-ATEX-II, Fela Management has a robust monitoring device for hazardous goods traffic in its portfolio. The device is certified in accordance with the ATEX product directive 94/9/EC and has ATEX approval II 2G Ex iB IIB T4, meaning that it can also be used in potentially explosive zone 1.
The task is to monitor the transportation of hazardous goods and their routes: Attached to the transporter, the devices transmit positions, times and project-specific data, among other things, to the web-based 'Carloc' portal for further processing. Integrated shock detection provides information on damage caused by impacts and thus facilitates subsequent claims settlement. Sensitive GPS receivers enable precise localization even in difficult environments. Deviations trigger an alarm. The intelligent device logic automatically reports all relevant events to the portal via GPRS. According to the supplier, the device can be installed almost anywhere on freight wagons, containers or trailers. Its housing is made of glass fiber-reinforced polyamide. The device can be positioned in environments from -20 to +60 °C.
