The Wavenet-Ex from Acksys is an all-in-one WiFi MIMO device - access point, client, repeater, router and mesh point - for hazardous areas.
The ATEX/IECEX certification refers to the following areas: 2G Ex db IIC T5-T4 Gb, 2D Ex tb IIIC T110°C/T140°C Db, M2 Ex db I Mb (SWS only), Zone 1, 2, 21 & 22. The device is available in three models with different WiFi connections: Model 1033 with 11n 2T2R/two ports type N, Model 1133 with 11ac 2T2R/two ports type N, Model 1230 with 11n 2T2R + 11ac 1T1R/three ports type N. All models are available in three different housing versions (aluminum 3/4 inch npt, aluminum M25 x 1.5, stainless steel 3/4 inch npt). They have a 1-port Gigabit Ethernet interface 10/100/1000 Base TX with automatic detection and automatic MDI/MDIX crossover.
The Meilhaus devices also have an RJ45 plug connection and two or three intrinsically safe RF outputs. The intrinsically safe antenna connections allow the use of non-ATEX antennas. Power is supplied via a DC power supply input or via PoE or PPoE (Passive Power over Ethernet).
