The use of AI in the factory
How will AI affect automation technology? How can companies tackle the issue? These and other questions will be explored at the 'Artificial Intelligence Forum', which will take place in Stuttgart on May 14.
With this event, the trade media Computer&AUTOMATION, Elektronik and Elektronik automotive are shedding light on the rapid developments surrounding artificial intelligence (AI). In the keynote speeches, the speakers will explain how the era of AI is changing companies and what potential the technology holds.
For example, Dr. Martin Ruskowski, Head of the 'Innovative Factory Systems' research department at DFKI, will explain the path from Industry 4.0 to artificial intelligence in production. In addition, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Josef Schneeberger, Deggendorf Institute of Technology, will speak on the topic of "Artificial intelligence is more than machine learning".
After three keynotes, the event will be divided into three sessions: 'AI in Embedded Systems', 'AI in Automotive and Telematics' and 'AI in the Factory'.
AI in the factory
The possibilities of AI technologies are immense, especially in the factory - whether directly on the machine, drives, control systems, computer systems or in the cloud. The 'AI in production' slot organized by the trade journal Computer&AUTOMATION is dedicated to this topic. It will begin by discussing the implementation status and potential in the manufacturing industry. In addition, the speakers will present specific tools and technologies for integrating intelligence in manufacturing. The concrete benefits of AI will also be illustrated using practical examples - for example at machine manufacturer Trumpf.
