The city of Dresden offers an excellent infrastructure and, with its state-of-the-art conference center, the perfect environment for discussing the technologies of the future. Around 1,500 companies in the microelectronics sector are active in the city. As the largest educational institution, the Technical University also acts as an incubator for new technologies. The 5G Lab located there has made a significant contribution to the development of the new mobile communications standard and will also be on site as a partner of the connect Exhibit & Conference. The brands Markt&Technik, Elektronik, Elektronik automotive, Computer&AUTOMATION and SmarterWorld of WEKA FACHMEDIEN will not only be involved as media partners, but will also contribute top-class specialist conferences.

The 'Wireless Automation' forum and the 'Smart Building Summit' will kick things off on May 2. The Wireless Automation Forum will provide an introduction to the latest wireless technologies for industrial applications. The 3rd Smart Building Summit will focus on market forecasts, showcase projects, the latest technologies, products, use cases and business models relating to smart homes and smart buildings.

The 5G measurement technology user forum continues on May 3. What measurement technology challenges does 5G entail and how can these be overcome? Measurement technology experts will provide practical assistance and show how to bring 5G-capable products to market quickly and reliably. The 'Artificial Intelligence' forum will also take place on May 3, focusing on the areas in which the development of artificial intelligence is leading the way in Germany: embedded systems, automotive electronics and industry/manufacturing.

Accompanying table-top exhibitions round off all the specialist congresses at the Connect Exhibition. They offer companies the opportunity to present their products in Europe's high-tech environment and reach retailers, industry and consumers at the same time.
