Hitachi takes over Synvert

Hitachi Group has signed an agreement to acquire Synvert, a Germany-based company, as a wholly owned subsidiary of its US subsidiary GlobalLogic from Maxburg, a private equity fund focused on founder-led technology companies in the German-speaking region.

The aim of the acquisition is to accelerate the rollout of 'HMAX', Hitachi'ssolution suite for operational autonomy and business model innovation through Agentic AI and Physical AI.

Synvert is a data and AI consultancy with proven expertise in AI-driven business design, data access & governance, integration and operations. With a portfolio of over 200 clients, Synvert helps companies unlock data value and realize intelligent, data-driven transformations. The company also maintains close partnerships with cloud and data platform providers such as Databricks and Snowflake, as well as with major public cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Upon completion of the acquisition, Synvert will complement GlobalLogic's competencies in AI and digital engineering, expand its end-to-end strength along the entire enterprise data value chain and accelerate the development of Agentic AI and Physical AI. With a strong presence in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and the Middle East, Synvert is also supporting HMAX's market expansion - including in collaboration with Hitachi Rail and Hitachi Energy.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the financial year ending March 31, 2026 (April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026), subject to regulatory approvals.
