ABB
Partnership with Salesforce expanded
ABB is expanding its collaboration with Salesforce. Among other things, AI and IoT technologies are to be linked with the 'ABB Ability' digitalization portfolio.
As Salesforce announced at the end of September, the collaboration with ABB that began in 2014 will be expanded further. The expansion includes the use of various Salesforce solutions: 'Einstein' is intended to enable ABB to provide more intelligent sales and service based on AI. The automation company wants to use 'Sales Cloud Einstein' for well-founded decisions, automated data collection, the identification of sales opportunities and predictive forecasts. Furthermore, 'Einstein Vision' in combination with 'Service Cloud Field Service Lightning' will allow ABB's approximately 15,000 field service technicians to photograph ABB products and components on site and automatically obtain information about the respective parts based on the images.
According to Salesforce, 'Salesforce IoT' will enable ABB to benefit from the increased informative value and measurability of data from networked devices. The aim is to link the solution with the 'ABB Ability' digitalization portfolio so that ABB's current 70 million IoT-enabled devices can use the predictive functions of 'Einstein' and open and trigger actions directly in Salesforce. The combination is intended to improve the customer experience beyond features and maintenance contracts.
