German-Japanese cooperation for the IoT

NTT Communications now wants to implement IoT projects in Japan with Cumulocity. In return, Cumulocity will use NTT Communications' more than 140 data centers worldwide.

"NTT Communications has an enormous global reach. In NTT, we therefore have a strong strategic partner at our side with whom we can ideally exploit opportunities in the Japanese and international IoT market," explains Bernd Groß, CEO of Cumulocity.

The cooperation should enable NTT Communications customers to quickly network machines and connect them to their IT systems. It also offers them real-time analytics for condition monitoring, predictive maintenance and supply chain automation as well as device management, remote control, real-time dashboards and microservices. Cumulocity's customers will be able to deploy IoT solutions in Japan and the Asia-Pacific region, benefiting from NTT Communications' cloud and network infrastructure services.
