The BMK Group, a German provider of electronic manufacturing services (EMS), has merged with Sweden's Hanza. The merger secures the succession of the BMK founders and lays the foundation for an expanded, integrated manufacturing offering in Europe, according to the companies.

BMK brings decades of experience in electronics production, while Hanza has strengths in mechanics, sheet metal processing and cable assembly. The merger creates a Europe-wide production network that can offer development, electronics and mechanical production through to series production from a single source.

According to the company, existing locations, contracts and contacts will remain unchanged. The expanded structure is intended to offer customers additional opportunities to make production processes more efficient and shorten innovation cycles.

"We are pooling our expertise, expanding our range of services and creating an offering that sets new standards for many industrial customers in Europe," says Florian Weiß, member of the BMK management board.

The management of both companies emphasizes that the merger will create stability, greater market proximity and additional capacities while maintaining the same level of quality and customer focus.
