"This year, the use of artificial intelligence methods played a major role in the award winners - from the innovative solution for finding a parking space to the security check for web applications," said jury member Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Wahlster, Chairman of the Management Board and Technical and Scientific Director of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence(DFKI). "The jury was enthusiastic because people remain at the heart of all digitalization solutions in all the awards."

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and Deutsche Messe presented the 'Cebit Innovation Award' for the sixth time.
