Young researchers called to the 52nd round
"The future - I'm shaping it!" - This is the motto for a new round of the youth research competition. Young people who enjoy and are interested in mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology can now apply with their research project.

© Youth Research FoundationIn the current round, the Jugend forscht foundation is calling on young researchers to shape the future, to dare to ask questions that no one has ever asked before - and to register their ideas for Jugend forscht 2017. "If you want to take part, you don't have to be a second Einstein, but you do have to be passionate about researching, inventing and experimenting," says the foundation. Children and young people up to the age of 21 can take part in the competition. Younger pupils must be in at least 4th grade in the year of registration. Students must be in their first year of study at the most. The deadline for these requirements is December 31, 2016, and both individuals and teams of two or three are eligible. Registration for the new round is possible until November 30, 2016.
The topic and a brief description of the project are sufficient to register online. In January 2017, participants must submit a written elaboration. The regional competitions will then take place nationwide from February 2017. Those who win here will compete at state level. There, the best will qualify for the national final at the end of May 2017. Cash and non-cash prizes with a total value of over 1 million euros will be awarded at all three competition levels.
