With or without integrated display
With RS Pro, RS Components has added logic controllers to its range of own-brand products. The process modules act as basic controllers for applications such as packaging machines, lighting control systems, home automation and filling systems.
Compared to a standard PLC, logic controllers generally have a reduced number of I/Os and a limited number of function blocks in the software. The 'RS Pro' range consists of four controllers in 12/ 24 V(DC) and 110/ 240 V(AC) variants, which are available with or without an integrated display. Two matching expansion modules are also available. They add additional I/Os to the control unit (eight inputs and four outputs) and have two RS485 interface modules that allow communication with external devices such as HMIs. They are also suitable for integration into existing systems. Logic controllers and expansion modules have a robust housing that allows the devices to be mounted on a top-hat rail. The range also includes a logic module USB programming cable that supports the upload of programs from a PC and a memory module.
