System integrator Maverick changes hands

The US company Rockwell Automation has acquired the system integrator Maverick Technologies, thereby strengthening its expertise in process and batch applications.

Rockwell Automation, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.A., employs approximately 22,000 people in over 80 countries.

The acquisition is part of Rockwell Automation's growth strategy. It will enable the US company to provide customers in the chemical, food and beverage and oil and gas industries with innovative control and information solutions in a more targeted manner.

Maverick, headquartered in Columbia, Illinois, with 21 locations across the US, was founded in 1999 and is the largest independent systems integrator in North America. The company employs over 300 engineers and technical sales representatives and is internationally active in industrial automation, enterprise integration and strategic manufacturing solutions for customers in various manufacturing and processing industries. To date, the company has completed over 15,000 projects in 46 countries on six continents.

Rockwell's growth strategy is to help customers improve their global competitiveness by successfully implementing the Connected Enterprise. As part of this concept, information from production facilities is networked with all other areas of the company in order to increase the value of new business.
