Update brings support for TIA V19

Delta Logic has updated the 'Accon OPC UA Server' software to version 1.4.0.0. The new features include support for TIA Portal projects of version V19 and for the latest firmware for CPUs of the Siemens S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers.

The online import of symbols for TIA Portal V19 is also possible. The software from Delta Logic enables secure data transfer between OPC servers and clients as well as Siemens controllers. The current OPC UA V 1.04 specification and symbolic access are supported. The update also offers support for Siemens S7-1200 controllers with firmware 4.6.1 and S7-1500 CPUs with firmware 3.1.2.

Since version 1.3, it is also possible to use virtual devices. This allows users to use virtual variables within the OPC UA server that are not assigned to a specific hardware device, for example. Changes in OPC communication can thus be tested in a secure environment without touching the production system. If the test is successful and runs as desired, communication with the 'real' controller can be resumed.
