The 13th edition of SPS - Industrial Automation Fair (SIAF) will take place at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from March 3 to 5, 2022. It is considered one of the most renowned trade fairs for industrial automation technology in southern China and showcases trends and developments in intelligent manufacturing solutions. In addition to drive technology, industrial robotics, sensor technology and HMIs, this also includes embedded systems, networking and communication as well as technologies relating to the Industrial IoT. The trade fair will be accompanied by an extensive supporting program.

Asiamold - Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition will take place at the same time as SIAF. The organizers are expecting over 65,000 visitors and 532 exhibitors on an exhibition area of 40,000 m² for both trade fairs.

The highlights of SIAF Guangzhou

Driven by the pandemic, national production targets and initiatives around sustainability and energy efficiency, among other things, the digital transformation of the industry is progressing. The exhibition focuses include:

• Industrial robotics, machine vision and intelligent logistics solutions,
• sensor technology and industrial measurement technology,
• electromechanics and connection technology,
• HMI and the Industrial IoT.

Exhibitors include companies such as Cognex, Datalogic, Microma, Yaskawa, Binder, Bonfiglio, Fuji Electronics, Balluff, Baumer, Fluke, Pepperl+Fuchs, Schmersal and many others.

The supporting program

The double trade fair will be accompanied by interactive seminars and networking events. This year, SIAF is inviting visitors to take part in discussions at forums.

China's industrial landscape is currently undergoing extensive energy reforms. In response to policies and initiatives to tackle carbon emissions, the first 'Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutral Policies Accelerate Industrial Internet Development Forum' will be held at SIAF Guangzhou. Speakers at the forum will include representatives from well-known companies. One presentation will focus on a case study of Midea's digital transformation practices; ABB, for example, will talk about its digital solutions and how they can help companies transition to low-carbon manufacturing.

The 'Time-Sensitive Networking Technology and Applications' (TSN/A) conference will be held for the third time at SIAF Guangzhou. The theme for 2022 is "Accelerating the Convergence of Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT)". Experts will speak at the event about current developments around TSN, including TSN in the 5G era, TSN in SPE-L1 and related products, applications and configurations.

During the show, more than 50 seminars and product presentations will be held by industry experts, companies and global associations. Other events during the show include the "Dialogue with Hidden Champions" seminar series, "Automated Production Line and Machine Vision Applications" forum and the "Smart Industry Solutions" seminar.

Additional health and hygiene precautions

The trade fair organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt has taken additional health and hygiene precautions. In addition to registration by name, these include temperature checks on site, regular disinfection of public areas and measures to maintain social distancing at conferences and seminars.
