SIAF 2022
Focus on intelligent sensors
While most of the spring trade fairs in Germany are postponed until the summer, the 13th edition of the SPS - Industrial Automation Fair (SIAF) will take place in Guangzhou, China, from March 3 to 5, 2022.
SIAF - a spin-off of the German SPS - is regarded as an important hub for intelligent automation solutions in southern China. It takes place at the same time as Asiamold - Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition. Together, SIAF and Asiamold 2022 are expecting over 65,000 visitors and more than 850 exhibitors on an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters.
Sensor technology and the current five-year plan
According to a report by Allied Market Research, the global smart sensor market is expected to reach USD 91.37 billion by 2027, with Asia Pacific expected to be the largest contributor to the global smart sensor market during the forecast period. The Chinese government attaches great importance to this trend: at the beginning of February this year, the Chinese government announced the initial goals of the plan at the launch of the 14th Five-Year Plan. It focuses on 18 key areas, including infrastructure, energy, transportation, information technology, manufacturing, raw materials, space technology and other sectors. Of all the categories identified in the first implementation phase of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the development of China's smart sensor industry was one of the key areas.
Intelligent sensors at the SIAF
Intelligent sensor technology in general and image processing in particular: Important topics at SIAF 2022.
© Frankfurt Trade FairTo highlight the smart sensor sector, SIAF has set up Hall 13.2 to showcase the latest products, solutions and innovations in smart sensors and machine vision available on the market. Confirmed smart sensor exhibitors for SIAF 2022 so far include: Autonics, Baumer, Binder, Bojke, Controlway, Daheng, Defuro, Heroje, HR, Kar Ming, Meijidenki, Mindvision, Pepperl+Fuchs, Senpum, Shijie Intelligent, Suenw, Sygole, Yuheng and others.
The various product categories are arranged in the halls in a similar way to previous years: Halls 10.2 and 11.2 will showcase electrical systems and connection technologies, industrial robot technologies, pneumatic systems and components, as well as ICPs and industrial software. Hall 13.2 is home to advanced sensors, image processing technologies, industrial IoT and intelligent logistics solutions. Finally, Hall 12.2 will host various events and conferences.
SPS - Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou is jointly organized by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition Co Ltd, Guangzhou Overseas Trade Fairs Ltd and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH.
