On January 24, the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province ordered the suspension of all major events due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. This has now also affected the Nuremberg branch of SPS, SIAF in Guangzhou.

"Following the Guangdong government's announcement to step up epidemic prevention efforts by suspending all major trade and business events, we immediately started to postpone these two trade fairs to a later date," explains Hubert Duh, Chairman of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd. on behalf of the co-organizers of the trade fairs. "We are in contact with the relevant government authorities and venue owners to reschedule the fairs later this year, but due to the evolving situation in the country, it is too early to provide details."

Further announcements will follow in due course. Exhibitors or visitors with questions can email [email protected] for SIAF or [email protected] for Asiamold.

SPS - Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou (SIAF) is jointly organized by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition General Corporation, Guangzhou Overseas Trade Fairs Ltd and Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. Asiamold is organized by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd.
