Safety product range expanded
With the current release, 'Codesys Safety for Ethercat Safety Modules' now supports new Beckhoff modules. The project planning has already been certified by TÜV Süd.
In addition to the EL6900 Ethercat terminal, 'Codesys Safety for Ethercat Safety Modules' from 3S-Smart Software Solutions now also supports the EL6910 Beckhoff modules and the EK1960 compact controller. This should enable users to configure safety-relevant operations with analog data directly in Codesys. These can be read in via "Single Channel" input terminals (TwinSAFE-SC) or the standard controller, validated in the safety module and processed safely. The result is written to the corresponding safety output terminals. The EK1960 module also includes integrated digital safety inputs and outputs and eliminates the need for external safety I/Os.
The project planning of these safety modules with the 'Codesys Development System' and the corresponding extension 'Codesys Safety for Ethercat Safety Modules' has been certified by TÜV Süd. The acceptance of a projected safety application on the safety modules is therefore possible without any problems.
