Hanover Fair
Poland becomes partner country 2017
After the USA, Poland will be the partner country at next year's Hannover Messe. This was announced by the trade fair organizer and the Polish Ministry of Economic Development on April 26 in Hanover.
"Polish industry impresses with innovation and growth in numerous sectors. This is interesting for companies and investors from all over the world," said Jochen Köckler, Member of the Executive Board of the organizer of the Hannover Messe, Deutsche Messe AG. The industrial trade fair in Hanover is therefore "the right place to focus on the strength of the Polish economy and to further intensify economic relations - especially between Germany and Poland."
Polish State Secretary Pawel Chorąży also sees opportunities: "For the Polish government, supporting the development of innovative companies and their international expansion is one of its most important tasks." In his opinion, Hannover Messe offers Polish companies an excellent opportunity to present their technologically advanced products and make new valuable contacts.
Poland is now the sixth largest economy in the European Union. In recent years, the country has invested heavily in transport infrastructure and public buildings and has also attracted the interest of foreign investors to Poland. Imports and exports generated a foreign trade volume of EUR 354 billion last year, which corresponds to growth of 8% compared to 2014. The Polish Ministry of Economic Development is currently pursuing a "responsible development plan". This focuses on reindustrialization, developing innovative companies, creating development capital, opening up foreign markets and social and regional development. Specific projects include environmentally friendly public transport, IT security, unmanned aircraft, ships and mining machinery.
Around 80 Polish companies are already presenting innovative solutions from Polish industry and research at Hannover Messe 2016. In Hall 3 (Stand G25), exhibitors will showcase prototypes and developments in the fields of space research, electrical and automation technology and robotics.
