The company is thus focusing on continuity and stability with regard to the successful implementation of the Vision 2020 corporate strategy. "Mr. Kaeser has driven the realignment of Siemens in recent years with great commitment and entrepreneurial spirit," said Gerhard Cromme, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Kaeser was not only a "guarantor of success, but also of stability in increasingly turbulent times".

The implementation of the strategic realignment of Vision 2020 began at the start of the financial year on October 1, 2014. The key points are the company's focus on the growth areas of electrification, automation and digitalization, the focusing of the portfolio and the implementation of concrete and sustainable measures to increase functional efficiency within the company.
