Dr. Werner Struth resigns

After 28 years with the company, Dr. Werner Struth is retiring as a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH. The 60-year-old's tenure ends on March 31, 2017.

Most recently, Struth was responsible for the Industrial Technology division with the 'Packaging Technology' and 'Drive and Control Technology' business units. He was also responsible for the North and South America regions, production coordination and occupational safety and environmental protection.

The position of Struth, who has been Managing Director since 2012, will not be filled. The tasks will be reallocated within the Bosch Board of Management: Dr. Stefan Hartung will assume responsibility for the 'Industrial Technology' business sector and manufacturing coordination. Dr. Markus Heyn will be responsible for the North and South America regions, while Christoph Kübel will be in charge of occupational safety and environmental protection.

During his career at Bosch, Dr. Werner Struth was Chairman of the Board of Management of the 'Chassis Systems Control' division from 2005 to 2012 and a member of the Board of Management of the 'Diesel Systems' division from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, he worked at Bosch Braking Systems in Japan for several years.
