Festo
Claus Jessen resigns from office
On 13 September, Dr. Claus Jessen (53) resigned from his position as Chairman of the Management Board of automation supplier Festo. He will leave the company on December 31, 2016. He had only recently taken the helm.
Claus Jessen took over from Dr. Eberhard Veit at the beginning of 2016 after many years of helping to shape Festo 's technological development: from 2003 to 2009 as head of the Rohrbach plant, since 2009 responsible for all production plants worldwide and since 2010 as a member of the Management Board responsible for Product Supply (portfolio management, development, purchasing, production and logistics). According to information from the trade magazine Scope and the Stuttgarter Zeitung, Jessen is now resigning due to differences of opinion regarding Festo's future strategic direction. His duties will be taken over by the remaining members of the Management Board until a suitable successor for the position of CEO has been found. Until his departure, Dr. Jessen will be available to the company in an advisory capacity, according to Scope.
