Mr. Okoniewski, how did this first joint appearance come about?
Okoniewski: Pro-face has more than 28 years of experience in the development, manufacture and consulting of HMIs. Schneider Electric, on the other hand, is well-known in the fields of energy supply, building and industrial automation and is active with a broad portfolio of products and solutions for mechanical engineering and industrial end customers.

Pro-face has been part of Schneider Electric since 2002 and has developed and supplied HMI products for the company under the name Magelis for many years. These products are perfectly suited for Schneider Electric systems, compatible with and integrated into the corresponding software platforms. The original products developed for Pro-face have all the essential interfaces for connection to the control systems of various third-party providers.
From 2016, Schneider Electric was strengthened by Pro-face's expertise in the field of touch systems, which was initially reflected in the new logo 'Pro-face by Schneider Electric'. At SPS IPC Drives 2016, we made our first joint appearance to present visitors with complete solutions from a single source, supplemented by HMIs. At Schneider Electric, the expertise of the HMI specialist Pro-face is now available as an integral component.

What is the joint roadmap for the future?
Okoniewski: Thanks to Schneider Electric's good market access, we will reach many more customers with our HMI products. In Germany, we operate through a dedicated HMI specialist team within the Schneider Electric industry team under the leadership of Jürgen Siefert, Vice President Industry. This team will distribute, advise and support all Pro-face and Magelis brand products.
