Heitec
Tailor-made solutions based on the 'plug & play' principle
Heitec offers a modular IPC enclosure line in 19-inch format, which guarantees protection for the electronics and, according to the manufacturer, has been designed for maximum stability and load-bearing capacity as well as easy handling.
The device line consists of three different housing types with different equipment features. The heavy-duty 4U IPCs in black are prepared for cabinet installation and the needs-based accommodation of expansion cards in demanding industrial applications. The three enclosure types available from Heitec - IPC 402, IPC 404 and IPC 4F4 - are adaptable to the respective requirements and offer easy handling and robustness. According to the supplier, the construction of the ATX enclosures made of 2 mm sheet steel ensures high stability and load-bearing capacity. Thanks to the prepared threads and spacer bolts in the base plate, ATX motherboards of various standard sizes can be mounted effortlessly. The existing drive holders can be used for drives in 2.5 or 3.5 inch form factor. The installation of graphics cards and boards is also easy thanks to the hinged and removable sheet steel card holders.
The cover of the IPC 402 and IPC 404 enclosures can be removed using knurled screws and allows user and maintenance-friendly access to the inside of the enclosure. The hinged and lockable front door for securing the operating elements offers sufficient protection against unauthorized access, but also facilitates access to connections and drives on the front of the enclosure once the flap has been opened. The front panel has a built-in, easily replaceable filter mat, HDD/power LEDs, on/off switch, 5 1/4 and 3.5 inch slots for drives and additional I/O connection options. The front-mounted fans with plug-in connection in the IPC 402 version or in the fan cage in the IPC 404 version can be easily replaced during operation, as can the filter mat.
The front-facing design of the IPC 4F4 enclosure type is intended for installation in cabinet systems that are closed at the rear or otherwise difficult to access at the rear of the system and enables convenient access to all connections, drives and the power supply. As with the other two enclosures, the front panel is equipped as standard with an on/off switch, HDD/POWER LEDs and 5 1/4 and 3.5 inch slots for drives. Expansion slots and installation options for ATX power supplies are also located on the front, as are the integrated front USB and other I/O connection options.
