Avnet
New SMARC module family
Avnet is launching the SMARC module family 'MSC SM2S-IMX95', which is based on the 'i.MX 95' application processor from NXP Semiconductors.
The module complies with the SMARC 2.1.1 standard and, according to the supplier, enables simple integration with SMARC baseboards. According to Avnet, the i.MX 95 family from NXP combines powerful multi-core computing and 3D graphics and is also the first i.MX application processor family with NXP's elQ Neutron Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and a new Image Signal Processor (ISP) from NXP, which supports developers in building future edge platforms. According to the provider, the SMARC module family is particularly suitable for applications that require a small form factor computing platform with high performance, graphics, video, AI capabilities and a rich selection of I/Os - for example in the fields of industry, medical technology, smart home and building automation, industrial transportation and grid infrastructure.
