In 2018, the embedded world Conference will once again cover the entire spectrum of hardware, software and tools for the development of embedded systems. Within this broad spectrum, the topic "Embedded Goes Autonomous" will be one of the focal points of the conference.

The success of the embedded world Conference is based on the direct involvement of an entire community: hardware and software designers from an industry that is responsible for innovative ideas in countless applications like no other. Carefully compiled conference content by an international jury guarantees the necessary comparison of knowledge and the annual discussion of the latest developments and trends. The special feature of the embedded world Conference is that its contributions are consistently solution-oriented, offer participants direct assistance in their daily work and are therefore of great value for each individual as well as for the industry as a whole.

The conference consists of 13 classes and 36 sessions. Special highlights are the keynotes on the first and second day.

On February 27, 2018, Mark Papermaster - CTO and SVP of Technology and Engineering, AMD - will deliver the conference keynote entitled: "Evolving Embedded Systems in a Self-directed World"

According to Mark Papermaster, the technologies that actually enable intelligent systems are close to being ready for use. Parallel processing on multicore and graphics processors has been practiced for years to process graphics and media content. As image processing and machine learning continue to grow in importance, these computer architectures can be used to develop the next generation of embedded systems that will be equipped with artificial intelligence, and more and more powerful processor architectures from data centers are being used by the embedded industry. This is changing the way embedded systems are developed and set up. Choosing the right architecture and using programming models that are subject to open standards will be critical to success.
